VISION

APHOG is the society to conduct clinical study with drug development and to support better life for children and adolescent/young adult (AYA) patients with cancer in Asia with respecting equalily and fair. It covers more than 50 countries with almost 60% of world population, though their gross domestic product (GDP) per person is diverse. APHOG is dedicated to increasing the cure rate and better care for the children and AYAs with cancer in Asia.

Tasks

To help exchanging updated information on pediatric hematology oncology in Asian countries

To help organizing Asian international collaborative study group(s)

To promote the establishment of a registration database system for pediatric cancers in Asian countries

To support long term follow up and means to improve the quality of life of childhood cancer survivors in Asia

To facilitate the development of “advanced personalized therapies” for all children with cancer in Asia

To enhance the pediatric hematology and oncology researches in Asia

To establish pediatric cancers tissue bank (biobank) in all Asian countries which can facilitate translational research of pediatric cancers in Asia

To help solving the ethical related issues in the field of pediatric hematology and oncology in Asia

To relieve children from suffering of unnecessary therapy such as radiation exposure in Asia

To collaborate with other international study groups of pediatric hematology and oncology via networking

To help developing practical, effective therapies according to the facilities available in various socio-economic strata
