Overcome the gap between rich and poor to save every child with cancer
~60% cure rate for childhood cancer by 2030
In conjunction with Childhood Cancer Awareness Month in September, the WHO Global Initiative for Childhood Cancer (WHO GICC) in Tokyo 2024, which has been held annually since 2021 as part of the Global Gold September Campaign, held an international symposium entitled “Save Every Child in the World from Cancer: More than 60% Cure for Childhood Cancer by 2030”. The symposium was held in conjunction with the Global Gold September Campaign “Global Initiative for Childhood Cancer (WHO GICC) in Tokyo 2024,” which has been held annually since 2021 as part of the Global Gold September Campaign “Global Childhood Cancer Awareness Campaign.
This year was the fourth time for WHOGICC to be held, and it was a great success with more than 160 participants including medical professionals, patients’ families, and students.
